Principal's Message 2025-2026 School Year
Dear P138M Families, Students, and Staff,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! Each September brings the excitement of new beginnings, and I am truly looking forward to the year ahead. At P138M, we live by the belief that when you are here, you are family. Nothing brings me more joy than getting to know our students, families, and staff personally, and I look forward to seeing you at events, workshops, and celebrations across all our sites this year.
Our mission, “Empowering Diverse Futures,” continues to guide our work. We are dedicated to supporting our students as they develop independence, strengthen communication, and discover the joy of leaning in a nurturing and inclusive environment. By tailoring instruction to each child’s unique strengths and needs, we prepare our students not only to succeed in school, but to thrive in life.
This year, we are especially excited to expand real-world learning opportunities that help our students build independence and confidence. Across all our sties, students are practicing important life-skills --- whether its’s developing early foundational skills or for our older students, learning how to cook, shop and care for a home in our Life Skills Learning Labs. Throughout the year, schoolwide events and performances will highlight their growth, creativity, and achievements.
Families are central to this journey. Whether you join our Parent Association, serve on the School Leadership Team, participate in Family Support Team meetings, or simply connect with us at school events, your voice and partnership make our community stronger. Together, we will ensure that every child feels supported, valued, and inspired.
